Setting Up Printers on POS

Overview

You can use receipt/kitchen printers with Android, Windows, and Poynt devices when working in eHopper.

 

Setting Up Printers On Windows Devices

Prerequisites

1. You must have already installed your printer's driver. To do this, please follow the instructions on this link: Installing Driver for Printer.

 

Instructions

1. Log in to POS and in the left navigation menu, go to Settings--->Printer Setup.

 

2. Click Search for printer on the top right of the screen.


 

8. The compatible printers that you installed drivers for should appear under both Receipt Printers and Kitchen Printers. Select the one that you want to use with eHopper. 

Note: For kitchen receipts to print, you must select the Kitchen Receipt option in the Receipt tab of your Back Office Store Settings. 

9. Choose either 80mm or 58mm as the paper width for both printer types. 

10. Print a test page by clicking Print test page to ensure it works.

11. Click the DONE button. 

  • The receipt/kitchen printer should now work in eHopper POS.

 

Setting Up Printers On Android Tablets

Ethernet Printers

1. Make sure your device is connected to the same network as the printer.

2. In the left navigation menu, tap on Settings--->Printer Setup.

3. On the Printer Settings screen, tap Search for printer on the top right. 

4. The connected printers should show up under both Receipt Printers and Kitchen Printers. Check off the box(es) of whichever one(s) you would like to set up your printer to print.

Note: For kitchen receipts to print, you must select the Kitchen Receipt option in the Receipt tab of your Back Office Store Settings. 

5. Choose either 80mm or 58mm as the paper width for both printer types.

6. The option Print Test Page will appear to the right of the printer. Tap it to print a test page to ensure that the printer is set up properly.

7. Confirm your printer settings by tapping the DONE button. The printer should now be set up to work on your device. 

 

Star Bluetooth TSP143III Printer

  • If printer already on and connected to Bluetooth, skip to step 6.
  1. Switch printer on by pressing the on switch.
  2. Open Bluetooth Settings on tablet.
  3. Press on the Pair button on the back panel of the printer for about 10 seconds. The green indicator should begin to blink.
  4. Scan for Bluetooth devices in tablet settings.
  5. Select to pair tablet with the printer.
  6. Follow steps 2-7 above for the Ethernet Printer.

  

Setting Up Printers On Poynt Terminal

1. In the left navigation menu, tap on Settings--->Printer Setup

2. On Printer Settings screen, tap Search for printer on the top right. 

3. You can choose to print from either the Poynt Built-in Printer or BTP-R180, or Star TSP100 LAN printer (should be on and connected to same network) under both Receipt Printers and Kitchen Printers. Check off the box(es) of whichever one(s) you would like to set up your printer to print.

Note: For kitchen receipts to print, you must select the Kitchen Receipt option in the Receipt tab of your Back Office Store Settings. 

4. Choose either 80mm or 58mm as the paper width for both printer types.

5. The option Print Test Page will appear to the right of the printer. Tap it to print a test page to ensure that the printer is set up properly.

6. Confirm your printer settings by tapping the DONE button. The printer should now be set up to work on your Poynt device.
