Overview
- Please follow the instructions below for resetting eHopper on each device.
1. Delete Cache On Device
A) If using eHopper in a Google Chrome browser:
- Close the browser window you are currently using eHopper on.
- Navigate to your Chrome browser History.
- Select Clear browsing data.
4. Make sure Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files are selected and then select the CLEAR DATA button.
5. Go back to bo.ehopper.com and log in with your Account ID.
B) If using the eHopper POS app on an All-in-One device or an Android tablet, clear the cache of the app.
- Go to Settings on your device.
- Select Apps.
- Select eHopper.
- Select CLEAR CACHE and CLEAR DATA.
C) If using eHopper POS app on a Poynt device:
- Log in to eHopper POS on your Poynt device and sync data to save all transactions on the server.
- Swipe down on the home screen of the Poynt device.
- Select the Settings button on the top of the screen.
- If you have not yet enabled Developer preferences on the device, select About and then tap PoyntOS Version 10 times. It should prompt you to enter a passcode: enter 157953. Developer preferences should now be enabled. Hit the back button on the top left to return to the main Settings screen.
- Select Systems--->Apps---->eHopper
- Select Clear data.
- Once the data is cleared, select Force stop.
2. Deactivate Register in Back Office
1. Log in to Back Office via bo.ehopper.com in a Google Chrome browser and in the left navigation menu, select Settings--->Register Settings
2. Select the register you would like to deactivate.
3. Select the red Deactivate button.
- Copy the license key under Register Licence Key so you can enter it into the License Key field when logging in to the POS.
- Select the Done button.
3. Reconnect Printer Settings in POS
A) If using the eHopper POS app on an All-in-One device, Android tablet, Poynt terminal, or iPad:
1. Open the eHopper POS application
2. Tap on Settings in the left navigation menu and then select Printer Setup.
3. On Printer Setup screen, tap Search for printer on the top right.
4. Your available printers should show up under both Receipt Printers and Kitchen Printers. Check off whichever one(s) you would like to set up your printer to print.
5. Confirm your printer settings by tapping on DONE. The printer should now be set up to work on your device.
B) If using eHopper on a Windows device:
4. Reconnect Cash Drawer Settings in POS
A) If using the eHopper POS app on an All-in-One device, Android tablet, Poynt terminal, or iPad:
- Open the eHopper POS application
- In the left navigation menu, tap on Settings--->Cash Drawer
- Tap Search for cash drawer.
- In list of printers that appear, select printer that cash drawer is connected to.
- Tap Test link to the right of the selected printer. If drawer opens, it is properly set up.
- Confirm cash drawer settings by tapping DONE. The cash drawer should now be set up to work on your device.
B) If using eHopper on a Windows device:
5. Reconnect Terminal Settings in POS
A) If using the eHopper POS app on a Windows, All-in-One device, or Android tablet and connecting to PAX terminal:
1. Log in to POS and go to Settings--->Terminal Setup--->select Add Terminal button
2. Input the Serial Number of PAX Terminal and select Submit
3. Select Done on the Terminal Setup screen.
- If the PAX terminal was successfully connected, you should now be able to process card payments.
B) If using the eHopper POS app on a Windows, All-in-One device, or Android tablet and connecting to DejaVoo terminal:
1. Log in to POS and go to Settings--->Terminal Setup--->select the Add Terminal button
2. Enter the terminal's RegisterId and AuthKey.
3. Select the Submit button.
- If the Dejavoo terminal was successfully connected, you should now be able to process card payments.
