Customer Facing Display (CFD)
Overview
The Customer Facing Display (CFD) is a secondary screen application designed to enhance the customer checkout experience. It shows order details, pricing, splash images, and payment status, offering greater transparency and a chance for branding or marketing.
The CFD application can be found under the name Customer Facing Screen in the following locations:
Uploading a Splash Image
In Back Office > Apps > Customer Facing Display, click [Browse images].

Upload your desired image and click Done.
- Only one image can be uploaded per account.
- This image will be used across all stores and all registers.
To check optimal resolution for your device:
Updating Splash Image
To change the splash image:
Go to Back Office > Apps > Customer Facing Display
Upload the new image
Click Done
On the device, tap the image 10+ times to open the settings menu
Press [OK] to refresh the image
Activating the CFD App
Launch the CFD app on your Android device.
Enter your Account ID (same as POS account).
Enter the License Key (same as POS license).
Important: The same license key must be used on both the POS and CFD to enable communication.
Tap OK.
On the POS:
- The app supports Android 7+ with flexible resolution and auto-scaling.
- Android devices with CFD and POS need to be on the same network.
CFD with PAX A3700 and Payment App
The CFD application can run simultaneously with a payment app (e.g., TSYS, FD) on PAX A3700 devices.
Steps:
Launch the payment app on the PAX A3700.
Minimize the payment app.
Launch the CFD app.
When the POS sends a payment request:
The terminal will automatically switch to the payment screen.
Once payment is completed, CFD will resume display.
