Checkout customization in POS

Сheckout customization in POS

Overview

Customize the POS checkout screen to match your business workflow. You can change the second checkout button to a different payment method or action and organize checkout actions to keep frequently used options easily accessible.

The All Payments button always remains first, and the second checkout button defaults to Cash.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the eHopper POS app.

  • Access to Settings → Checkout.

How to use it:

Open Settings → Checkout. Enable Skip Payment Confirmation to continue automatically after eligible payments and supported terminal refunds. Enable Skip Receipt Page to apply your configured receipt actions automatically.

Both options are off by default and work independently. Required signatures, input, and error messages still appear.

Important — applies to all employees on this register

Changes save automatically and apply to all employees using this register. Other registers, including registers in the same store, are not affected and can be configured independently.

Email receipts: Automatic receipt completion does not provide an email-entry step. Keep Skip Receipt Page off when the cashier needs to enter an email address during checkout.

POS → Settings → Checkout: payment confirmation and receipt-page skipping are separate options.

Cash example: If the cash amount due is $30.00 and the customer gives $40.00, Change Due shows $10.00. It updates as the entered tender changes and remains zero until the tender exceeds the amount due.

Before enabling faster checkout: Review the register’s receipt settings and confirm whether cashiers need to enter an email address, collect a signature, or handle another required prompt. Skipping a page does not bypass those required steps or payment errors.
