Barcode Printing

1. Purpose

This guide explains how to set up and use barcode printing in both the Back Office (BO) and Point of Sale (POS). It includes prerequisites, configuration steps, and how to print labels.

2. Prerequisites

Before using barcode printing, make sure the following are completed:

  • Feature access

    • At the enterprise level: Install the Barcode Labels app

    • At the store level: Enable barcode printing in store settings

  • Hardware

    • At least one label printer must be configured on the POS


3. Configuration

3.1 Enable Barcode Printing in Back Office

  1. Log in to the Back Office (BO)

  2. Go to App Directory

  3. Install the Barcode Labels app

  4. Navigate to Store Settings

  5. Open the Receipt tab

  6. Enable Barcode printing on POS

  7. Click Save

  8. Make sure the POS syncs with the updated settings

Expected result:
The Print Barcodes option appears in the POS menu.


3.2 Configure Label Printer on POS

This setup is required per terminal or when changing printers.

  1. On the POS, go to Settings → Printers

  2. Tap Search to find available printers
    2.1. To connect your label printer to your Android device, make sure both devices are connected to the same network.
    2.2. To connect label printer to your Windows device, please visit https://portal.ehopper.com/portal/en/kb/articles/setting-up-label-printer-starm-mc-print3-on-windows and install printer drivers.

  3. Under Label Printers, select your printer

  4. Tap Print test page to confirm it works

  5. Tap Done to save


4. Printing Barcodes on POS

  1. Open the POS menu and select Print Barcodes

  2. Choose a code type:

    • SKU

    • UPC

  3. (Optional) Enable Qty on Hand to view inventory

  4. Select paper width:

    • 25 mm

    • 40 mm

    • 58 mm

    • 80 mm

  5. Search for products or scan them using a barcode scanner

  6. Tap a product to add it to the print list

  7. Adjust:

    • Print quantity

    • Name/price visibility

  8. Tap Print
